We have learned many things so far in this class from reviewing subject- verb agreement to reviewing basic grammar. One thing I have learned so far is to set up a blog. I have never been taught to set up a blog but love to keep a journal. A blog and a journal is almost the same thing except for a blog is public. It’s not hard to get set up it’s just easier if you are showed or even given directions.

A journal is the older version of a blog meaning a pen and paper. Since these days are practically all digital the blog is the way to go. At least on the computer there is spell check and grammar check and also word count. The hardest thing is you can’t watch TV while typing especially with a deadline.

My question would have to be about the databases in the library. How often would most people use some of the databases when most people use Google and can end up with a lot of the same answers?  A lot of people us Google for everyday questions and answers.

digital or paper?

I believe everything soon will be digital. The internet has come so far in the past 10 or so years. Whenever you look around these days almost everyone has a smart phone or now a tablet in their hands, almost nobody caries around a newspaper or a hard copy of a book anymore.

I'm not sure if I believe this is a good thing or a bad thing yet because we will always need print in case of a technical failure. Digital is taking more dominancy than print is now and the eBooks are cheaper for the most part. If nobody buys a print copy, then who's to say they wont stop making them or will they just go up in price?

Yes, digital copies are more convenient than print because on one tablet you can carry more books than you can in your book bag. I love the feel of a big hard back book in my hand knowing I can fold over the page to save my place. I love having the hard back text book to make notes in and highlight for easier studying later. Now, you can do all of that on the tablet or phone, but I don't believe I would get the same satisfaction that I do holding a book. Plus knowing I have to charge the tablet just to read or study the book on it is a let down. At least with a print copy you could always read, by flashlight, when the electricity is off.

Hi! My name is Ashley. I have a 3 year old son. I work two jobs and go to college full-time. We stay busy most days. I always tell myself I'm doing all of this for my son to have a better life. I try to take him out to do fun things such as go to the park, watch TV together, go out to get ice cream, or just play with toys together. He's always reminding me of how much he loves me.

I work at Olive Garden as a server and have been there for about 7 months now. I also work at CenterHill Childcare as the nightcare assistant director and have been there for about 5 months now.
I also have an amazing boyfriend. We have been together now for 2 years. Looking back on what we have accomplished this past year, I couldn't be more proud of our little family.

I have never taken an online class and this semester I have two online classes. I am honestly a little nervous of the outcome. I always believed when taking an online class a person couldn't learn as much. With this point I am mainly talking about hands on classes, such as Human Anatomy and Physiology. I plan to become an RN and eventually specialize in pediatrics. I've always loved children and love working with them, as that is one of my jobs.

This is me if you have any questions just ask! I'm usually a pretty easy going, laid back kind of person. I believe I'm easy to get along with.
